Argumentative Essay Topics - Killer Angels and Writing to Impress Your Reader
Argumentative Essay Topics - Killer Angels and Writing to Impress Your ReaderArgumentative essay topics are easy to come up with, as long as you know how to do it properly. You can write as many arguments as you want, but they have to make sense. It is tempting to ramble on a bit, and when you do that it has to make sense, or else it all sounds like you're trying to fill up time. It is not your goal to bore people, but rather to create an argument that is persuasive. The key to writing your argument, however, is to write your paragraphs carefully, and include as much detail as possible about what you have to say about the particular topic. If you just lay out the information without offering reasons why it is so, people will lose interest. If they don't feel compelled to listen to you, they are not going to read your essay, and they are not going to learn anything. The concepts of argumentative essay topics, to me, are very similar to those used in the famous book, 'The Killer Angels', by Ray Bradbury. The central theme of the book is the need for God, and the idea that God is not going to come to help us. In order to come to know God, we must come to know our Creator. To that end, the concepts that I find most similar to the concepts presented in 'The Killer Angels' are 'blind reason'superiority complex'. The concept of blind reason is the idea that man is not aware of his true nature, and so he cannot understand what is right or wrong. The concept of 'superiority complex' is the idea that humans are just too smart for us to understand, so we must resort to brute force to achieve what we want. Now, just because you use these concepts does not mean that you have to plagiarize Bradbury! You should be able to create an argument that makes sense, yet you should also use proper terminology and draw out the differences between two concepts as best you can.The second concept that I found very similar to those used in 'The Killer Angels' is the idea of 'opposites'. Just a s God is 'not-so', man is 'too-much', so if we can understand this, we can make the most of our life by understanding opposites. As I mentioned before, the next concept that I found to be very similar to those used in 'The Killer Angels' is 'imbalance of power'. The idea here is that if there is one thing that people must always strive to balance, it is themselves, and that others cannot fulfill their potential.I will leave you with another quotation from the book, in this case, 'Ozymandias, the ruler of all Ozymandias' which is a reference to the 'King of Diamonds' in the movie 'The Wizard of Oz'. The quote is as follows: 'Men may dream of things to come, but few ever make them.' The bottom line is that if you do not know how to write an argumentative essay topic, you may want to consider taking some classes on the subject, or consulting with an essay coach to help you get started.
